Running Under The Weather

I train in rain
To race in sun
The other way’s
A lot less fun

The Only Constant

Tree limbs falling
Rivers rising
Northwest April
Unsurprising

Sun then rain
Then wind then hail
The Weather Channel’s
Blowout Sale

If constancy’s
Your predilection
You won’t miss
This Spring confection

Unpredictability’s
Okay for some
Not not for me

Weather’s Weird

Weather’s weird.
You might have heared.
It rained. It cleared.
It hailed. It’s weird.

Will there be snow?
I can’t say no.
It could be so.
I hope not, though.

It hurts my brain,
This hail-sun-rain-
Then-snow
refrain.
Makes plans a pain.

I can’t explain
Why rains appeared
Or where’d they go.
(Or snow.) It’s weird.
