Let Freedom Ring v. 4.5

Mass shootings happen all the time
Without a reason, but with rhyme:
For thoughts and prayers and guns, demand
Will spike, but changes won’t be planned.
Still, best be safe: Shore up your stock
Of weaponry in case the shock
Of this one causes such regret
That we’ll do what we haven’t yet,
By which I mean, a single thing…
I kid! We won’t. Let freedom ring.

  1. America has always had guns but only in recent years have there been these mass shootings. It’s our godless culture, not the guns. And many who are greatly saddened (as we all should be) about those mass shootings are part of the problem that leads to them.

    1. Godless culture? That’s hardly the problem. So many of these shooters report their actions were commanded by their almighty. Others simply report a broad anger or hatred. In any event, these events are invariably committed using high-powered weapons. The availability of these guns to the general public is more recent than their existence. I question the notion that our Constitution guarantees the right of citizens to bear these arms.

More harm has been to mankind in the names of gods than any other cause. Haven’t you noticed that no other countries suffer these calamities at the rate the USA does?

      1. Murderers saying that God commanded their action is godless because God’s word says no such thing. Broad anger and hatred is godless. I’ll stick with a godless culture as the cause – road rage, fornication, adultery, 60,000,000 murdered in abortion, drugs, alcohol, violation of laws, cheating on taxes, homosexual “marriage”, the destruction of the family, pornography, etc.
