Caveat Emptor

Don’t listen to my words. I lie.
It’s what I do. I don’t know why.
I want to tell the truth. I do!
I’ve got no cause to lie to you,
But then I do it anyway.
I haven’t told the truth today
At any point, including now!
I want to change, but don’t know how.
I don’t know where my honor went.
Perhaps I should be president.
