Frogs And Toads

Frogs and toads are not the same.
A frog is always glad you came
And strives to put you at your ease.
A frog will offer meat and cheese
And fizzy drinks to those who visit.
That’s not very toad-like, is it?
Toads, by contrast, rarely serve
Refreshments. Those who have the nerve
To ask a toad for life advice
Will rarely make that error twice.
Princesses throng frogs for busses;
Kiss a toad, prepare for cusses
Several shades more blue than blimey.
Toads are scaly, frogs are slimy,
Neither one will give you warts
But all the same, please keep your shorts
Amphibian- and reptile-free
Before you ride the slide with me.
