The Name Of The Creek Shouldn’t Be Relevant

Up the creek without a paddle
Doesn’t seem that bad. The battle
More inclined to cause a frown
Would be if one were drifting down
Yet bound for someplace far upstream
While paddleless. Now that’s a dream
About a female horse at night,
If I’ve got that expression right,
Which isn’t guaranteed: That’s how
We got to where we are right now,
Without a way-making device
Afloat upon a creek. Seems nice.
