Watering The Neighbor’s Lawn

When I’m at work I often feel
That students have the better deal:
They go to class, they read, they write,
They’re smarter when they say good-night.
But then when I’m in school I’m thinking,
What rank Kool-Aid was I drinking?
“Homework” spells it out for you:
You’re home, but there’s still work to do!
Learning’s fun, but isn’t cheap;
Work’s boring, but at night you sleep.
Half of one, six dozen of
The other. Favorite? See above.
