Slice Of Advice

Tiny pizzas should be fun
But getting used to more than one
Per meal could set a precedent
That leads to Where’s my waistline went?

A pizza ought to be too much
For one man’s appetite to touch
Except on those occasions rare
When no one’s there with whom to share.

Pizza, large, with sauce and cheese
Is something close to perfect. Please,
Whatever else you choose to do,
Don’t make your pizza turn on you.

Eat your fill, but leave a slice
For later. Day-old pizza’s nice
And makes a bod appreciate
The fresh, hot ecstasy you ate.

Pizza’s size should not be “bite.”
That’s all I came to say. Good-night.
